Adelante Mujer Latina Career Conference
Comisión Femenil, San Fernando Valley is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of Latinas. There is pride in the progress Latinas have made, but many challenges continue to face the community in education, health, and political representation. Comisión Femenil is active in a variety of areas including providing mentoring, scholarships and promotion and awareness of issues of concern to Latinas and the community in general. The main goal of this conference is to inform Latina students about careers and educational pathways and to introduce them to positive and successful Latina role models. The 19th Annual Adelante Mujer Latina Career Conference will take place at Arleta High School on Saturday, March 3rd, 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Go to the SLC Center for more information. |

Attention Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior students
Almost every univerisity in the U.S. offers summer programs. Taking part in a summer program is a great way for you to experience college life and get credits by taking college classes. Also, participating in summer enrichment programs looks great on your college applications. Most programs charge a fee. However, do not let that stop you; scholarships are available. Come into the college office or visit the Poly website regularly to check out summer programs. |

Attention Female Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors
A Poly alumnus who is presently a student at Mount St. Mary's College will be visiting Poly on March 7th. She will do a presentation about all the programs at Mount St. Mary's. Male students are also welcomed to attend if you are interested in the nursing program. Come to the College Office to sign up. |
